Here we have listed the five upcoming 7-seater SUVs from brands like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Mahindra, Toyota, and Citroen
The seven-seater SUV segment will witness the arrival of a number of new models within the next two years and three of the mentioned five SUVs will be launched this year itself. Here we have all the detailed information:
1. Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus:
In September 2023, M&M is widely reported to launch the Bolero Neo Plus, which is essentially the facelifted version of the TUV300 Plus. It will be available in multiple seating configurations and will be underpinned by a ladder frame chassis. The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus will be powered by a 2.2L mHawk diesel engine, paired with a manual transmission only and it will be positioned below the Scorpio Classic.
2. Tata Safari Facelift:
The facelifted version of the Tata Safari will likely be launched before the end of this year and it will follow the launch of the updated Nexon and Nexon EV. The design will be heavily inspired by the Harrier EV concept, unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo earlier this year. The cabin is also expected to get a host of changes while the 2.0L diesel engine will be retained.
3. 7-Seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara:
Speculations indicate that the seven-seater version of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will hit the domestic market by the middle of this decade. It will continue to sit on the Global C platform and the existing 1.5L mild hybrid petrol and the 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engines will stay put. Both manual and automatic transmission options will likely be available.
4. 7-Seater Toyota Corolla Cross:
The global Toyota Corolla Cross is expected to make its way to India with an added third row and a longer wheelbase next year. It will sit on the TNGA-C platform that can also be found in the Innova Hycross and could utilise the 2.0L petrol and 2.0L hybrid petrol engine options.
5. 7-Seater Citroen C3 Aircross:
Citroen India will introduce the C3 Aircross in five- and seven-seater configurations next month. The midsize SUV will have the option to remove the final row of seats completely in the seven-seater and it can be flat folded as well. It will be powered by a 1.2L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine developing 110 PS and 190 Nm. The powertrain will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission only.
