KTM’s least expensive motorcycle was launched recently and it also happens to be the most powerful 125 cc motorcycle available in our country
KTM recently launched the Duke 125 in India. The newest motorcycle joins the KTM lineup and also happens to be the most affordable motorcycle of the Duke lineup. Below provided are the five interesting facts about the newly launched KTM Duke 125.
1. The most powerful 125 cc motorcycle
The KTM Duke 125 is powered by a 124.7cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC motor which produces about 14.5 hp of peak power at 9,250rpm and 12 Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. With all that power and torque available on tap the Duke 125 is no doubt the most powerful 125 cc motorcycle available in India.
2. Only 125 cc motorcycle to get ABS
For those of you did not know the Duke 125 gets a single channel ABS system with the motorcycle. This is the only 125 cc motorcycle in India which gets ABS setup which is definitely a lifesaving feature.
3. Indian spec Duke Gets Duke 200 styling
While the International spec Duke 125 gets its styling inspiration from the Duke 390 KTM has launched the Duke 125 with Duke 200 styling. This has been done deliberately to make the pricing more aggressive. Many of the high ends feature like the TFT instrument cluster, all LED headlamps are missed on the Indian spec Duke 200.
4. Gets Trellis Frame and Shares Duke 200 parts
The Duke 125 shares the same kind of trellis frame with some other KTM motorcycles of its segment like the Duke 200 or the Duke 390. This makes it a better handler than other 125 cc motorcycle of its class. While it also shares the same headlamps, instrument cluster wheels, switchgear, and tires with the Duke 200.
5. Only performance oriented 125 cc motorcycle available in India but also the most expensive
A 125 cc motorcycle which can touch a top speed of 120 km/h mark that’s what the Duke 125 is capable of. It is the only motorcycle in India’s 125 cc segment which has those impressive performance numbers. However, it is not the cheapest either the Duke 125 is priced at Rs. 1,18,163 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which also makes it the most expensive 125 cc motorcycle available in India.
