XUV300 has more powerful and torquier diesel engine than Vitara Brezza but how about the difference in features? Here we tell you top five the latter doesn’t have in comparison!
Mahindra & Mahindra did raise eyebrows when the XUV300 was launched last month with a starting price of Rs. 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom). However, as the dust settled down, it was easy to justify the price tag as it comes loaded with several features right from the base W4 variant. The XUV300 has made a good initial impact with over 13,000 bookings and 2.5 lakh enquiries and in its first month, more than 4,400 units were sold.
Straight away the Mahindra XUV300 beat Ford EcoSport and is expected to give a tough competition to Tata Nexon in the coming months for the second position in the monthly sales chart. The segment-leading Maruti Suzuki has always been on a league of its own by averaging well over 12,000 units monthly and it can be safely said that the XUV300 or any other rival cannot match its sales tally.
It does not mean the glaring new features present in the XUV300 that the Vitara Brezza doesn’t have will be left unnoticed though and here we got five of them:
1. Dual-Zone Climate Control:
The dual-zone automatic climate control system is one of the highlighting segment-first features in the XUV300 and it allows the driver and front passenger to individually set temperatures based on their requirements. The handy feature is offered in the top-spec W8 grade.
2. Heated Mirrors:
In a country of varying climatic conditions and abruptly changing weather patterns like India, the heated Outside Rear View Mirrors is an essential feature. It helps in better visibility mainly during rain or foggy ambience hampering the driver from seeing what is coming at the back. Front wheels positioning indicator is another safety feature Mahindra sells with the XUV300.
3. Disc Brakes On All Four Wheels:
The Mahindra XUV300 comes with disc brakes on all wheels as standard and as the dual-zone climate control and heated mirrors, it is another feature the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza does not possess. It aids in better braking stability and reduces the braking distance especially during emergency situations.
4. Multiple Steering Modes:
Just as the SsangYong Tivoli it shares X100 platform with, the Mahindra XUV300 provides multiple steering modes such as Normal, Sport and Comfort. Each mode is calibrated for different driving conditions and for instance the Sport gives better steering response when activated and the Comfort can be used during relaxed driving.
5. Seven Airbags and Front Parking Sensors:
The top-of-the-line Mahindra XUV300 is retailed with a myriad of safety features that the Global NCAP 4-star rated Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza does not have. It offers seven airbags (driver, curtain, side and knee) as well as front parking sensors for the ease of parking in tight spaces.
Oh! the honourable mention has to go to the sunroof!
