In the list of 4 upcoming Kia cars, we have talked not only about the launches in the near future but also the future electric vehicles for India
Kia India is expected to launch a host of new products over the next couple of years to further strengthen its market share. Here we have talked not only about the launches in the near future but also the future electric vehicles for India:
1. Kia Seltos Facelift:
Speculations that surfaced on the internet suggest that the facelifted version of the Seltos will go on sale by the middle of this year. The updated midsize SUV made its global debut last year in Korea and it was spotted testing recently on Indian roads. Besides a thoroughly updated front fascia and rear end, the interior will gain new features. The powertrain lineup could comprise a new 160 PS 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine replacing the existing 1.4-litre turbo unit.
2. New-Gen Kia Carnival:
Kia showcased the KA4 premium MPV concept at the 2023 Auto Expo last month. It spawned the latest Carnival sold in the international markets. The Carnival posted good sales numbers for the brand over the years and we do expect a brand new model to arrive in the near future with a more modern exterior and interior sticking by Opposites United design philosophy.
3. Kia Compact Electric SUV:
By 2025, Kia will introduce two electric vehicles in India and one of them will be a compact SUV. It will be manufactured at the brand’s production facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Internally codenamed Kia AY, it will be positioned between the IC-engined Sonet and Seltos. Unlike them, it will be a lifestyle SUV with boxier proportions and a taller stance. It will also be available in ICE guise and one-fifth of the total production will be reserved for the electric iteration.
4. Kia Electric MPV:
The South Korean auto major is also working on a new MPV and it was confirmed a while ago officially. Kia has tasted success with the Carens since its debut last year and is preparing to garner more market share with the upcoming electric MPV. The technical specifications of the family hauler are not known yet but expect it to have an upmarket cabin loaded with features.
