Royal Enfield will more likely introduce as many as four new motorcycles in India over the next 6-9 months, spanning various segments

Royal Enfield is preparing to launch several new motorcycles in the 350 cc, 450 cc, and 650 cc segments. The iconic Classic range will see updates and be expanded with new models in the next six to nine months as well. Here is an overview of the four upcoming motorcycles from RE:

1. Updated Royal Enfield Classic 350:

The Classic 350 marked Royal Enfield’s entry into the J-series engine platform, garnering positive feedback from customers since its debut in late 2021. Models such as the Meteor 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, and Classic 350 have enjoyed strong sales and are slated for mid-life updates in the near future.

The roadster is expected to be the first to receive a mid-cycle update in the coming months. Anticipated enhancements include new color schemes, additional features, and updated graphics. The existing 349 cc SOHC air- and oil-cooled engine, producing just over 20 hp and 27 Nm of torque, will remain unchanged and will continue to be paired with a five-speed transmission.

2. Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350:

Royal Enfield is preparing to transform the Classic 350 into a single-seat bobber variant, potentially named the Goan Classic 350. This new model will feature a raised handlebar, whitewall tires, and revised ergonomics compared to the standard Classic. The launch is anticipated to occur later this year and its design patent was leaked a while ago.

3. Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin:

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin, expected to debut in early 2025, will heavily draw design inspiration from its smaller sibling, the Classic 350. Expected features include a circular LED headlamp with chrome casing, pilot lamps, and halogen turn signals. Additionally, the motorcycle will boast a single-piece seat, spoked wheels, middle-set footpegs, and an upright handlebar.

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin will be powered by the well-known 648 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum power output of 47 PS and 52 Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed transmission. The roadster will feature a subframe similar to that of the Shotgun 650 by the looks of things.

4. Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450:

One of the hotly anticipated upcoming Royal Enfield models is the Guerrilla 450. This neo-retro roadster is expected to be priced around Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and will directly compete with the Triumph Speed 400. It will be equipped with the same 452 cc liquid-cooled engine as the latest Himalayan. It will likely go on sale in July or August 2024 in India.
