In the list of three upcoming Hyundai cars this year, we have explained about the i20 facelift, Verna N Line and the all-new Exter
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is expected to launch the heavily updated Creta in early 2024. In the remaining months of this year, the second largest carmaker in the country could bring in the facelifted i20 and Verna N Line while the market launch of the Exter will happen on July 10.
1. Hyundai i20 Facelift:
The facelifted version of the i20 has been caught testing quite a few times on Indian roads already, suggesting that it will launch in the coming months. It will be a mid-life refresh for the premium hatchback and will only gain minor cosmetic revisions akin to the Euro-spec i20, which went on sale a few months ago. It will continue with the existing powertrain lineup and the features list could gain some new features.
2. Hyundai Verna N Line:
The new generation Hyundai Verna went on sale a while ago and is easily one of the successful car launches this year. The well-received midsize sedan could have its range expanded this year with the addition of the top-spec N Line variant as it has been caught testing. It will likely come with visual enhancements and mechanical revisions such as a stiffened suspension to enhance its sportier character.
It could be offered exclusively with the 1.5L turbo petrol engine producing 160 PS and 253 Nm. The powertrain is linked with a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission currently. The interior could get contrast red highlights and N Line branding.
3. Hyundai Exter:
Hyundai will officially launch the Exter on July 10, 2023 in the domestic market and it will compete against Tata Punch. The micro SUV sits on the same platform as the Grand i10 Nios and Aura and it will be positioned below the Venue compact SUV in the brand’s lineup. It will be loaded with features on the inside and even the base variant will come with six airbags.
The Hyundai Exter will be powered by the familiar 1.2L NA petrol engine, paired with a five-speed MT or a five-speed AMT. A CNG variant will also be offered. The equipment list will boast a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital cluster, connected features, and much more.
