TWENTY TWO Motors uses a 2.1 kWh battery in the Flow e-scooter with claimed riding range of 160 km on a single charge; has top speed of 60 kmph

22 Motors, the Gurugram-based electric start-up company, was one of the surprise packages of the 2018 Auto Expo as it impressed the audience with its zero-emission mobility solutions. More precisely, the Flow e-scooter showed the way for the future and it was launched at the motoring exhibition for Rs. 74,740 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Back in October 2018, Kymco, a notorious scooter brand from Taiwan, joined hands with 22 Motors for its entry into domestic market under a synergic joint venture. Kymco is bringing in the Ionex battery swapping solution into the Flow electric scooter and it will be available for sale at the same price as mentioned above by this year.

The Flow has now been spotted during high speed testing presumably with the Ionex battery swapping technology. The zero-emission scooter comes equipped with a 2.1 kWh battery, which is capable of giving a riding range of 160 km and is able to develop 90 Nm of peak torque at 100 Nm. The performance and range numbers are expected to be retained in the Ionex equipped Flow.

The technology helps customers to swap between two removable Li-ion batteries while a home charger will also be provided. To ease the ability of charging, 22 Motors is planning to establish charging station across New Delhi as buyers can charge their batteries at a cost of around Rs. 20 to 30.

According to the brand, the fast charging facility will enable the battery to replenish up to 70 per cent in just 60 minutes. The top speed is rated at 60 kmph. Some of the key features in the Flow are Combined Braking System with front and rear disc brake setup, 3-part tubeless tyres, IP65 water and dust protected, telescopic front and dual hydraulic rear suspension, etc.
