Skoda Kodiaq registered 14 per cent sales growth in December as the company has managed to sell 219 units
Skoda sold 219 units of Kodiaq in December 2018 and registered 14 per cent growth as the company sold 192 units in December 2017. The Kodiaq posted Month-On-Month growth of 72 per cent when compared to November 2018 and it is the second best selling product of Skoda last month.
The Kodiaq is selling in decent numbers as the company sold at an average of 150 units for the past six months. Skoda launched the Kodiaq in October 2017 with a single entry-level Style variant then the company introduced the top end L&K (Laurin & Klement) variant in November 2018.
The entry-level model priced was dropped by more than a lakh which helped to improve sales and we can expect the positive momentum to continue this year also as the company is offering hefty discounts. The top end L&K variant comes with minor changes when compared to Style as it gets chrome finish on the front grille and rear bumper to improve the premium look.
Skoda also introduced a new Magnetic Brown exterior colour and it is available only with L&K model while the regular model comes in four shades – Magic Black, Quartz Grey, Lava Blue and Moon White. The company has added some new features on the new variant, which includes a fully digital instrument cluster and 360-degree camera system.
The interior also gets piano black finish along with aluminium pedals and new leather upholstery. The standard features on Kodiaq include three-zone climate control, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ten-speaker 575-watt Canton audio system, gesture control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and more.
Skoda also offers lots of safety features like 9-airbags, hands-free parking, Anti Slip Regulation, Electronic Differential Lock, Traction Control System, Electronic Stability Control and Parktronic Sensors. The Kodiaq is powered by 2.0 L diesel engine with 150 PS and 340 Nm, mated to 7-speed DSG gearbox and power is sent to all-wheel four wheels.
