The Toyota Hilux is offered in high-end GR Sport across the globe and in Europe, the popular performance-based pickup truck has received a mid-life facelift. The Hilux is only available in its standard trim in India and the GR Sport may never see the light. The GR Sport version made its debut in January 2022 in Europe and is sold in different iterations in various markets.

The volume dial has continued but other physical buttons are let go. The updates to the software meant that a cloud-based satellite navigation system is now available.
It is accompanied by Hey Toyota voice assistant and OTR updates should enhance the overall usability. The front fascia of the new Toyota Hilux GR Sport ‘II’ boasts a grille design and bumper section similar to the Australian model. The bold Toyota wording on the grille has been repositioned and a silver bash plate is found below.
Thus, the approach angle has been increased by a degree to 30 degrees. At the back, the bumper gains updates to accommodate technologies such as blind spot warning system and rear cross-traffic alert. The black finished spoiler stretches from the roof. With no performance changes, the 2024 Toyota Hilux GR Sport continues with the 2.8L turbo diesel engine.
The four-pot oil burner develops a maximum power output of just over 200 hp and 500 Nm of peak torque. In India, the Hilux is priced between Rs. 30.41 lakh and Rs. 37.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in Std 4×4 MT, High 4×4 MT and High 4×4 AT variants. The Japanese auto major is expected to launch the Urban Cruiser Taisor in India next.
The five-seater compact SUV coupe is the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It derives power from a 1.2L NA petrol and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission choices. It will have minor exterior and interior changes compared to its donor.
