The new-gen 2023 iteration of the Nissan X-Trail will now be offered with hybrid powertrain options

The Nissan X-Trail is one of the most capable SUVs in the brand’s line-up and is offered with a practical and feature-rich cabin while the strong exterior styling also helps it boast a strong road presence. The brand recently launched the new 2023 Nissan X-Trail Hybrid in Europe with a number of significant updates and strong hybrid powertrain options.

This new iteration of the new Nissan X-Trail made its debut earlier and is currently on sale in the Japanese market. The midsize SUV is offered with a three-row seating layout and a comfortable cabin. On the design front, the new X-Trail gets sleek LED lights, a big and bold grille in the centre, and a prominent bumper design. As many as 10 exterior colour shades are available with this version of the SUV.

Inside, it is now available with a dual-screen layout for the infotainment system and the instrument cluster while other features like automatic climate control, push-button start, auto-dimming IRVM, and cooled box. The second row boasts a 60:40-split configuration and also offers slide adjustment. The third row however gets a 50-50 recline feature while the cargo capacity stands at 585 litres.

Speaking of the powertrain, the new X-Trail now gets a 1.5L three-cylinder strong hybrid petrol engine. This engine churns out a combined power output of 201 horsepower and a maximum torque output of 330 Nm. Furthermore, this new engine helps the car boast a 0-100 kmph timing of a little over 8 seconds.

For those wondering, this three-pot engine charges the hybrid battery that in turn powers the front wheels. The whole setup not only offers a smooth driving experience but in addition to this, also offers strong fuel economy figures.

In addition to this, the new 2023 X-Trail is also available with a 1.5L mild-hybrid gasoline engine. This engine delivers peak power and torque output of 161 hp and 300 Nm respectively. This engine channels power to the front wheels via a smooth CVT gearbox.
