Yamaha recently launched the new 2022 XMax 250 scooter in Malaysia at a starting price of RM 22,298 (INR 3.96 lakh)(ex-showroom) and now offers new colour options and some minor cosmetic updates compared to the previous model. While the scooter remains mechanically identical to the previous iteration, here are all the details that you should know about the new 2022 Yamaha XMax 250, which is a popular offering for the brand.

For starters, the new 2022 Yamaha XMax 250 will now be available with two new colour shades – red and matte green. In addition to this, the scooter will also be backed by a two-year or 20,000 km warranty as standard. The brand is also offering a Yamaha safety disc lock worth RM 100 with every purchase of the scooter.

On the features front, the new XMax 250 gets a monochrome LCD instrument panel that displays important information like a temperature gauge, odometer, trip meter, and more. Powering the scooter is the same 250cc Euro 4 complaint liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 22.5 hp and 24.3 Nm of maximum torque.

This engine in the 2022 Yamaha XMax 250 comes mated to a CVT gearbox and offers impressive performance and refinement levels. The scooter also gets many standard features like dual-channel ABS and traction control. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at the front as well as the rear.

The suspension setup comprises a 110 mm telescopic fork at the front and a 79 mm mono-shock shock absorber at the rear in this sporty scooter for the masses. For those wondering, the scooter gets 15-inch wheels at the front and 14-inch wheels are the rear. It also gets a claimed kerb weight of 179 kg while the fuel tank capacity stands at 13 litres.

Speaking of the dimensions, the new 2022 Yamaha XMax 250 is 2185 mm long and 775 mm in width while the seat height and wheelbase measure 795 mm and 1540 mm respectively. You also get all LED lighting with this new performance scooter while the handlebars and windshield are manually adjustable. The brand however is not expected to launch this in India anytime soon.
