The latest V60 wagon bucked the trend and was released with a sculpted design borrowed from V90 recently. Another model waiting in the wings to get a major update is the S90 sedan and we showed you how it will look like based on the V60 with potential renderings earlier. The model has now been officially teased ahead of global premiere on June 20. The sedan segment is where Volvo is playing catch up against the German trio and the S60 will be its upcoming weapon from the armoury.
With an undisguised spy image of the rear and side profile, we also know more about the upcoming sedan. The picture was appeared to have taken at Volvo’s facility in Torslanda, Sweden. It appears to be pictured along with the new XC60 and possibly the XC20 or the XC40 electric variant covered fully.
The next generation S60 takes styling influences from the V60 and its bigger cousin, the S90 up front as well. Understandably, it comes fitted with a bolder front fascia with sporty LED headlamps and now-signature Thor’s Hammer Daytime Running Lights, alongside a sleek front bumper.
