TVS have launched the 2019 Apache RR 310 recently find out what exactly has changed and what hasn’t in the updated motorcycle
The Hosur based two-wheeler manufacturer TVS have launched the 2019 Apache RR 310 recently in India. The 2019 TVS Apache RR 310 is priced at Rs 2.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which is exactly Rs 2,652 more than the older model. The updated motorcycle has received both cosmetic and mechanical updates.
Here are the 5 things that you need to know about the 2019 TVS Apache RR310
1. Addition of new slipper clutch
There is no denying the fact that the older Apache RR310 was one of the worthy contenders in the sub-400cc segment. It was one of the most featured packed motorcycles of its segment however TVS has not added slipper clutch to the faired sportsbike when it was first launched in late 2017. Now, the bike manufacturer has learned from their mistake and finally added the much-needed feature to the motorcycle.
The addition of a slipper clutch will help the rider gain more control over the bike, especially while downshifting. With the recent update, the 2019 TVS Apache RR 310 becomes the second only TVS bike to come equipped with slipper clutch after the Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0. Additionally, the existing customers can also retrofit the slipper clutch on their motorcycle by paying Rs 3,950.
2. Has It received any cosmetic update?
Besides the addition of slipper clutch, TVS has also introduced a new Phantom Black glossy paint scheme for the motorcycle. This new paint scheme definitely looks different from the existing ‘Racing Black’ paint scheme, which it replaces. The new paint scheme will help in adding a stealthy appearance to the motorcycle.
3. No Changes in the engine
The 2019 Apache RR310 is powered by the same 312.2cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces about 34PS of peak power at 9700rpm and 27.3Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. TVS claims a 0-60kmph time of just 2.93 seconds and a top speed of 160kmph.
4. Suspension and brakes
The motorcycle still uses the same KYB inverted forks at the front and a preload adjustable monoshock unit at the rear. The braking duties are also carried by a 300mm front petal disc and a 240mm rear petal disc. A dual channel ABS safety feature is also available as standard.
5. Pricing and competition
The 2019 TVS Apache RR310 is priced at Rs 2.27 Lakh (ex-showroom). The Apache RR310 rivals directly against the likes of the KTM RC390 and the recently launched Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.
