Toyota has broken covers off the Gazoo Racing Supra Racing Concept at the ongoing 2018 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. Besides being a race-going concept, it gives the first look into how the production version of the next generation Supra will be like. The long-awaited sportscar will hit the international markets next year and has widely been expected to replicate the success of its previous four generations.
The Supra is a supple sportscar favouring a wide variety of exterior and performance modifications. It was also one of the most accessible to enthusiasts compared to the dedicated hardcore machines from exotic manufacturers. Toyota has confirmed that the concept announces Supra’s return in a fifth generation.

And it has 90 competition number depicting the codename of the legendary Supra. Having been co-developed with BMW, the influence of the latter can be clearly seen courtesy of the long bonnet section. The platform will give birth to the next generation Z4 that traditionally had the unique silhouette.

The concept’s stripped out interior is of the racing pedigree with bucket seat for driver, dashboard with all the track and timing information, a full blown roll cage structure, carbon panels on the door, multi harness seatbelts, quick-release steering wheel, etc. In an identical way to the Racing Concept, the road-going Supra will have the traditional front engine and rear-wheel-drive layout for some proper driving fun.
