2019 MY of Hexa gets five new dual-tone colours along with some new features to make the overall package more attractive
Tata Motors introduced five new dual tone colour options in Hexa – Arizona Blue, Tungsten Silver, Pearl White, Sky Grey and Urban Bronze. The roof is available in either Titanium Grey or Infinity Black. Apart from the new colour options, the company has made some changes to the features list also.
The entry-level variant XE has been discontinued and the Hexa comes in three variants – XM/XMA, XM+ and XT,XTA and XTA 4×4. As part of the MY update, the XTA automatic variant of Hexa comes with 235/55 section 19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels while the XT manual and 4×4 model comes with 17-inch charcoal grey finished alloy wheel.
The XM+ variant gets 235/70 section 16-inch alloy wheels and the entry level XM variant gets 16-inch steel wheels. The interior gets subtle changes like a new 7-inch touch screen infotainment system, which comes from Tata Tigor and it comes with Android Auto connectivity. The top variants also get chrome finish for the AC vents and piano black steering wheel.
The Hexa is also loaded with features like JBL sourced 10-speaker audio system, fast charging for the smartphone, dual-zone climate control, AC vents on the second and third row with blower speed control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, multi-coloured TFT instrument cluster, 8-way adjustable driver seat, follow-me headlamps and more.
The company has also focused on safety as Hexa gets 6-airbags (Driver, co-passenger, side & curtain), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Roll-over Mitigation, Traction Control System, Cruise Control, Hill Descent Control, Hill Hold Control and reverse parking sensors with a camera. Tata Motors discontinued the 2.2 L VARICOR 320 engine from Hexa.
2019 MY is available only with 2.2 L VARICOR 400 engine producing 156 PS of power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm and 2,500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission with a four-wheel drive system. The updated Hexa price starts at Rs. 14.38 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 18.36 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
