Mitsubishi officially revealed 2019 MY of Outlander with lots of improvements as the model was last updated in 2015 in the global markets. The Japanese manufacturer had to update the model significantly as it was facing stiff competition from new rivals. The company is focusing on Outlander PHEV model as it is the best seller among the range.
The exterior changes for Outlander PHEV include new front and rear bumper along with a new grille and tweaked LED headlamps. On the side, the company has given dual tone finish for 18 inch wheels and the rear get a new spoiler along with updated tail lamps. The interior changes include new instrument cluster, updated seats for more comfort and new toggle switch for all wheel drive system.

This increased power output help Outlander PHEV to achieve 0-100 kph in 10.5 sec with electric top speed of 135 kph which is an improvement of 10 kph over previous model and the top speed of Outlander PHEV is 170 kph. Thanks to the increased battery output, the company was able to extend electric range to 45 km in WLTP tests.

Along with regular driving modes like Normal, Comfort and Off-road the company has added Snow and Sport also. The Snow mode is for improved grip during slippery conditions and Sport will make throttle and gear changes sharper. The all wheel drive system is carried over from previous model as it is one of the finest systems in the market. Mitsubishi will launch Outlander PHEV in September internationally. The all-new regular version of the Outlander was launched in India a few weeks ago.
