Facelifted Mini cars receive updated lights, new alloy wheels, 2D logos, new infotainment system and refined powertrain
British luxury carmaker Mini has unveiled its 2019 hatchbacks and convertible ahead of their Detroit Auto Show debut. The three-door and five-door hatchbacks along with the convertible come with several styling updates. Expect the cars to arrive in Indian market sometime in 2019. Thanks to these updates, these cars are expected to become much more appealing to the buyers.
The Mini hatchback and convertible sport new restyled headlamps, Union Jack themes taillights, two-dimensional brand logo, updated more stylish alloy wheels. Apart from that, Mini has introduced a wide range of exterior colour options for these cars. These new paint options include Emerald Grey Metallic, Starlight Blue Metallic and Solaris Orange Metallic. Apart from that, Mini will offer Piano Black trim package as well that will replace the chrome bits across exterior.

Not only exterior, refreshed Mini hatchback and convertible come with several updates inside the cabin as well. There is a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a new entry level audio system with 6.5-inch digital display. Besides these, these luxury cars also get an all-new 8.8-inch premium touchscreen infotainment system.
The Malt Brown Chesterfield leather upholstery across the cabin adds more style to the car, while other features include wireless smartphone charging technology, illuminated trim strips, time traffic information, access to Mini Online portal. Addition of the Mini Yours Interior Style Piano Black package enhances the appeal of the car further.

While these updates across exterior and interior enhance the appeal of the 2019 Mini models, the British marquee also claims that the powertrain has received refinement in order to deliver better performance.
The new Mini hatchback and convertible come with updated TwinPower Turbo technology, engine electronics, oil supply, intake air ducting, updated cooling system and new exhaust system as well. Mini has also replaced the engine covers with carbon fiber reinforced plastic to reduce the weight significantly. This will certainly improve the performance and mileage of the Mini models.
