The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is based on HEARTECT platform and the company has increased body length to improve space inside the cabin

The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga made its global debut at the 2018 Indonesia International Motor Show and it is based on HEARTECT platform. Suzuki has tried to give an upmarket look for the Ertiga as the front gets new grille along with swept back headlamps with projectors and LED DRLs.

The front bumper completely new and fog lamp housing is positioned slightly higher. The side also gets a new design and the Ertiga comes with new alloy wheels. The third-row glass merges with rear window to give a wrap-around effect. The rear gets new LED tail lamps, which took inspiration from Volvo models and the company has given thick chrome bar between tail lamps.

Suzuki has taken inspirations from Audi for the interior design of the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The new model gets faux wood inserts on the dashboard to give a premium feel for the cabin and the interior is finished in beige colour, which gives an airy feel. The three spoke multi-function flat-bottom steering wheel comes from Swift and Ertiga also gets a new instrument cluster.

The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is 99 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 5 mm taller.  The new model continues to have the same wheelbase of 2,740 mm, but the company has managed to increase space on all three rows. The boot space of the new model has been reduced by 32 litres and ground clearance by 5 mm.

The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is also loaded with lots of features as it comes with touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, keyless entry, push button start, reverse camera with parking sensors, automatic headlamps, cooled glove box and more.

The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will debut with new 1.5 L petrol engine from Ciaz, which produces 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and it will also come with dual battery setup. The 1.3 L diesel will be retained, but the company is working on a new diesel engine, which will be introduced next year. These engines are coupled with a 5-speed manual and 4 speed Auto is available only with the petrol engine
