Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the 2019 version of the Ignis. The new hatchback is expected to be launched on 25th February, but Maruti is yet to confirm the same officially. We brought the first exclusive pictures of the 2019 Ignis, and now, we bring you all the variant wise feature changes of the vehicle.
Just like the pre-facelift version, the 2019 Ignis will be offered in four trim levels. The Ignis already offers ABS and dual front airbags as standard across the range. Here are the new feature additions in the different trim levels of the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis:
2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis Sigma
The base variant of the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis will now offer speed alert warning and co-driver seatbelt alert as standard. Other mandatory safety features like the ABS and the airbags are already standard in the base model.
2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis Delta
Apart from all the features available in the Sigma version, the Delta version of the Ignis will offer rear parking sensors, co-driver seatbelt reminder and speed alert system as standard. The speed alert system has become a standard in all the new-age Maruti Suzuki cars. It alerts the drivers by various kind of “Beep” sounds when the vehicle crosses a certain speed.
2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis Zeta
This is the one-level below the top-end variant and offers a host of features. The Zeta version of the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis will provide the new Smart Studio infotainment system, which was first launched with the all-new WagonR and then the facelifted Baleno received it too. Apart from the new infotainment system, the Zeta variant also gets co-driver seatbelt alert system, roof rails and speed alert system. The 2019 version of the Ignis Zeta is also expected to get manual seat height adjuster for the driver.
2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis Alpha
The top-end version of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis will come loaded with features like DRL projector lamps, alloy wheels and more. The new features that will be seen on the hatchback are roof rails, new Smart Studio infotainment system, speed alert warning system and co-driver seatbelt alarm.
Maruti Suzuki earlier discontinued the 1.3-litre diesel engine on the Ignis. It will be only available with the 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum of 82 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. It is available with a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox.
