2019 Honda Civic is the most fuel-efficient sedan in its segment as the diesel engine is claimed to return 26.8 kmpl; over 1100 booking already received

Honda Cars India has finally launched the 2019 Civic in the Indian market and it has been priced starting from Rs. 17.69 (ex-showroom). Sold in V, VX and ZX variants and assembled at the brand’s Greater Noida plant, the 2019 Civic’s prices go all the way up to Rs. 22.29 Lakh for the range-topping diesel VX model.

The executive sedan has made a comeback to India after more than 6 years of sabbatical. Having skipped one generation in between in India, the tenth-gen Civic boasts the latest styling philosophy used by the brand globally and it emphasises premium as well as sportiness. The Civic is the longest-running nameplate for Honda in the world and more than 25 million units have been sold through its nearly five decades of presence.

However, the 2019 Civic gets back into the act to strengthen the brand’s premium portfolio in India and it will compete against Toyota Corolla Altis, Skoda Octavia and Hyundai Elantra. The latest Civic made its domestic debut at the 2018 Auto Expo well over a year ago alongside CR-V. The latter debuted back in October 2018 with starting price of Rs. 28.15 lakh (ex-showroom) with seven-seater layout and a diesel engine.
