2019 Honda CB150R Neo Sports Cafe Exhibited At Ongoing BIMS 2019

Honda CB150R is the production version of 150SS Racer Concept and it comes with premium features along with a new engine

Honda has showcased CB150R at the 2019 Bangkok International Motor Show along with the entire portfolio of the company. The CB150R is the production version of the Honda 150SS Racer Concept, which was showcased at the 2017 BIMS. The CB150R design takes inspiration from its bigger siblings like CB300.

Even though it’s an entry-level performance model, the company has given lots of premium features as the naked bike comes with 41 mm upside down forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear. The headlamp gets round design with LEDs and a black bar in the middle. The company has also given LED indicators and the handlebar is a single piece unit.

The instrument cluster is fully digital and it comes loaded with lots of information like speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, time, odometer, trip meter and more. The footpegs are positioned rear set and the CB150R comes with split-seat with pillion seat positioned slightly above compared to rider seat.

The rear gets LED tail lamp along with a new fender. The CB150R is based on the Inner Pivot type diamond frame and the centre of gravity is closer to the rider. The company has also given a new swingarm with the design inspired by bigger bikes. The naked bike is available in four colour options – Asteroid Black, Matte Laurel Green, Millennium Red and Pearl Cadet Grey.

Honda CB150R is powered by 149 cc single cylinder engine with water cooling and fuel injection system and it is expected to produce 20 hp. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and braking duties are performed by radial mounted 4 pot callipers with 296 mm single disc at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear.

The company has given ABS system as standard and the naked bike comes with G-sensor also. The CB150R rides on 17-inch split spoke alloy wheels finished in black colour with 110 section tyre at the front and wider 150 section tyre at the rear. Honda is offering CB150R in four variants – Standard 150R, Moriwaki Edition, Scramble Cafe and ExMotion Street Cafe.
