Only a few months ago, we reported that Bajaj might introduce two new colour options for the 2019 Dominar 400 in India soon. The two new colour options (red and silver) had also featured in a promotional TVC. The bike sporting the same metallic red colour option has been spotted recently in the flesh that indicates that Bajaj could introduce the new colour option soon.

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar was launched in India with two colour options initially including Auroral Green and Matte Black paint. During the time of the launch, Bajaj officials said that the company will introduce new colour options depending on their demand in the Indian market. The addition of the two new colour options will take the official count to four (green, black, red and silver).

The two new colour options if launched in India will retail at the same price tag of Rs 1.74 Lakhs (ex-showroom). For those of you who are not aware, sales of the Dominar 400 increased by almost 59 per cent in May 2019. Bajaj Auto sold a total 1,888 units in May 2019 compared to 1,191 units sold during the corresponding month last year.

The 2019 Dominar is powered by the 373.3 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel injected DOHC unit. The retuned engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox produces about 40 PS of peak power at 8,650 rpm and 35 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The updated motorcycle now also features an upside-down suspension setup that replaced the conventional telescopic units of the old motorcycle while a preload adjustable monoshock unit does duty at the rear.

The anchorage duties are performed by the same 320mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc brake at the rear. A dual channel ABS is offered as standard with the motorcycle for the safety of the rider. Besides all these mechanical changes, the motorcycle now also gets an updated instrument console and a double barrel exhaust system.
