2018 Volkswagen Polo Scored 5-Star Safety Rating In Latin NCAP

Next-generation VW Polo gets four airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC; it’s built on a tough bodyshell capable of absorbing high impact

The next generation Volkswagen Polo scored big in Latin NCAP crash test. The premium hatchback has scored top level 5-star rating in the crash test thanks to its range of safety features that include four airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and a high-strength tough bodyshell that is capable of absorbing high level of impact protecting the occupants.

Apart from the above mentioned safety features, the 2018 Volkswagen Polo also receives several other advanced protective measures that include City Emergency Braking, speed limiter etc. No wonder, these features make the premium hatchback an appealing car for the customers who priorities safety while buying cars. The next generation VW Polo is expected to be launched in India sometime next year.

2018 Volkswagen Polo has become more stylish, much sharper and sportier thanks to its revised styling. It gets sharper headlamps with projector units and integrated LED daytime running lights. Radiator grille and front bumper too come with updated appearance. Moving to the side profile, it boasts new design sporty looking 17-inch alloy wheels, sharp creases, subtly flared wheelarches, turn indicator integrated ORVMs and blackened glass area.

Rear of the hatchback features sharp looking LED taillights, integrated roof spoiler, chunky bumper and chrome tipped exhaust. The next generation Polo looks very appealing from every angle. Inside the cabin too, it has received new styling and premium features. The multifunction steering wheel, new design instrument cluster, ergonomically positioned large touchscreen infotainment system at centre console with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto enhance its appeal further.

Seat and upholstery materials too have been improved. New Polo offers 15 mm extra headroom for the front occupants and 30 mm extra headroom for the rear occupants. The luggage space too have been increased by 71-litre. Dimensionally, the car has become longer and wider boasting stronger road presence and offering more comfortable experience to the occupants.
