We can expect TVS to make changes for headlamps, tank and body parts to make the model fresh for the next few years

TVS Star City is one of the most popular entry level models for the Hosur based manufacturer. Earlier this year, some reports suggested that the company is developing an all new entry level commuter. The spy picture of new Star City 110 has surfaced online for the first time.

The test mule was spotted in heavy traffic of Chennai with a pillion which suggests that the company is testing new Star City in urban conditions to see how it performs. Even though it’s a new model, we can’t see any changes for the design compared to current Star City in the market.

TVS Star City 110 is currently powered by 109 cc single cylinder 2 valve engine producing 8.30 hp of power at 7,000 rpm and 8.70 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. This engine is mated to 4 speed gearbox. But some reports suggest that TVS might replace this engine with 109 cc single cylinder engine from new Victor which produces 9.46 hp of power at 7,500 rpm and 9.40 Nm of torque.

From the test mule, we can confirm that TVS will continue to offer 130 mm front drum brake and 110 mm drum brake at rear. We can expect TVS to offer disc brakes at front as an option in top end variant.

The Star City 110 also gets telescopic front suspension and gas charged twin shock absorbers at rear. The current generation Start City is priced between Rs. 48,116 and Rs. 52,109 (Ex-Showroom) and it compete against Hero Passion Pro i3S and Bajaj Platina. We are expecting TVS to reveal new Star City 110 later this year.
