Toyota officially revealed 15th generation of Crown in Japan. The Japanese manufacturer previewed new model with Crown luxury concept last year. The Crown is the largest sedan Toyota currently makes and it is one of the most successful products in Japan. The new model took lots of inspiration from recently revealed Lexus ES sedan.
Toyota earlier announced that the company is moving away from boring design and the first product which came out with new design theme was Camry. This new design theme is carried forward on Crown also as the sedan looks ready for action and has lots of cut and curves on the body which gives sporty look for the sedan.

The new generation Crown is longer and wider than outgoing model which made its debut in 2012. Toyota has moved Crown to new TNGA platform, which under pin Lexus ES sedan and this help the company to save weight and gives better performance compared to previous model. The company has focused a lot on ride and handling of Crown as they took the new model to Nurburgring to fine tune the handling.
According to Toyota, the Crown gives outstanding handling along with responsive driving performance and exceptional vehicle handling. Another area, Japanese manufacturer focused is sound insulation as they have given lots of soundproofing materials to keep the cabin as silent as possible and the centre of gravity is low thanks to lower mounting of engine.

The interior design of Crown is completely new and it comes with lots of modern features as the company has given 8 inch touch screen for infotainment system and another 7 inch touch screen system for climate control and other functions. The Crown is the most advanced car of Toyota as it comes with technologies like Toyota Connect Car Insurance Plan and more.
The Crown comes with ITS connect system which interact with surrounding infrastructure to improve driving. Toyota offers three engine options with Crown which include two hybrids and one regular combustion engine. The 2.0 L turbocharged engine produces 245 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque, the 2.5 L and 3.5 L hybrid engine gets an electric motor and nickel-metal hydride or lithium ion battery for improved efficiency. Toyota will begin sales of new Crown from next month in Japan.
