This bike comes with five-axis Bosch IMU that calculates leaning angles helping the rider with better cornering. Power source for the bike is the same 1,037 cc liquid-cooled, 90-degree v-twin engine that works in the previous model. The engine is capable of churning out 98 bhp of peak power and 103 Nm of peak torque that is generated at 4,000 rpm. This bike uses ride-by wire technology and the engine gets twin catalyzers.

Along with the new technologies, the 2018 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 also comes with slightly tweaked design. It gets larger diameter handlebars that offer the rider greater control over the machine. Apart from that, the windscreen is adjustable at three different angles according to the rider’s convenience. The aggressive looking adventure tourer also dons new colour scheme and new fairing.

Despite these little changes, the bike is built on the same old chassis and the suspension system is unchanged too. As the current Suzuki V-Strom 1000 is priced at Rs. 13.45 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the new model is likely to be priced slightly premium over the present model. Suzuki is expected to offer some single-key function enabled accessories with this bike as option.
