Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has launched the new 2018 version of the Gixxer SP with ABS and the Gixxer SF SP with FI and ABS bikes today in the domestic market. The model year update comprises of some notable cosmetic additions that go well with the overall design and ensure subtlety.

The 2018 series of Gixxer SP and SF SP comes equipped with a new paint scheme as gold and black colour combination further enhance the sporty theme of the motorcycle. Moreover, there is an unique SP 2018 Emblem and it is accompanied by updated graphics on the front cowl as well as on the 12-litre fuel tank.

Since its launch in India in 2014, the Gixxer brand has a dedicated fan following among young customers and the latest version looks to build on its popularity. Both the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF derive power from the 155 cc single-cylinder four-stroke SOHC two-valve engine.

It is good enough to generate a maximum power output of 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque delivered at 6,000 rpm. It uses Suzuki’s Eco Performance (SEP) technology with an array of features. The chassis is developed by the engineers who designed the performance-based GSX-R series.

2018 Suzuki Gixxer SP 1

The 2018 Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF SP are made available in Metallic Majestic Gold / Glass Sparkle Black shades across Suzuki dealerships present in India. The motorcycle continues to measure 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width and has height of 1,030 mm with 1,330 mm wheelbase.

It tips the weighing scale at 135 kilograms and runs on 17-inch tubeless alloy wheels. The Gixxer SP with ABS is priced at Rs. 87,250 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the Gixxer SF SP with FI + ABS is priced at Rs. 1,00,630 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
