The new 2018 Renault Duster looks significantly stylish and aggressive compared to the outgoing model

Renault Duster has created its own space in Indian market. The car has garnered appreciation and popularity in the country. Now the IAB has published a rendered image of the 2018 Duster, which gives us opportunity to imagine, how this car going to look like. As the rendering suggests, the new Duster will come sportier and more aggressive than the outgoing model.

The front fascia of the 2018 Duster looks like to get a heavy redesigning. The headlamp clusters come trimmed and sleeker. They sport the LED daytime running lights integrated. The front grille is probably the biggest change at the front fascia. It takes the design cue from the new Koleos and Alaskan. The chrome garnished V shaped grille actually looks very stylish.

The front bumper gets chrome trims around the fog lamps, a silver skid plate. Moving to the side profile the car gets thick black side body cladding, giving it a perfect crossover appearance. The flared wheel arches, subtle character lines enhance the muscular vibe to another level. The glass area remains almost similar, but comes with chrome trim. The roof rails have gone sleeker.

Expect the rear profile to don some changes as well. In the facelifted Duster the taillamps gets a waterfall design. Expect the new Duster to come incorporating the same taillights. Also some thick chrome trim would be nice to finish it up. Expect the interior to come sporting attractive features, and more space as well. The rendering shows the car in a three row 7 seater guise. Therefore the 7 seater model will come around 200 mm longer than the present 5 seater model.

The French automaker is tight lipped about the platform for the car. The speculations say that, it might come based on the Renault-Nissan’s CMF platform. While some think, it will be housed on the updated B0/Logan platform. On the power train front the car will get a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine generating 124 bhp of peak power. The diesel variant will get a 1.6 litre engine kicking out 130 bhp. Transmission options will include both manual and automatic gearboxes.
