On the inside, there are a number of changes as well including additional charging ports, Activity Key enabling owners to lock and unlock vehicle without carrying key fob and a new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with 10-inch touchscreen displays.

The biggest change in the facelifted Range Rover Sport is the all-new plug-in hybrid model dubbed the P400e. It comes equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a lithium ion battery of 13.1 kWh. With the addition of an electric motor, the combined power output is rated at 404 PS and 640 Nm of peak torque. The battery is helpful in doing up to 51 km speed only on electricity and is stated to have a recharging time of two hours and forty five minutes. The SVR version, on the other hand, has been handed over a performance hike. The 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine is now good enough to produce a maximum power output of 575 PS. Due to the extra amount of power, the 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds – faster than several dedicated sports cars.

The 2018 series of the Range Rover Sport will go on sale in the United Kingdom early next year with prices starting from £ 61,315 (Rs. 52.44 lakh) while the P400e plug-in hybrid will be quoted with £70,800 (Rs. 60.55 lakh) and the SVR at £99,680 (Rs. 85.25 lakh).
