Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT uses five-speed AGS and features cosmetic changes along with new black interior theme
Since launching in early 2016, the Vitara Brezza has played a major part in Maruti Suzuki’s sales growth and utilising its popularity, the range has been expanded with the addition of AMT variants as a response to the growing competition. The 2018MY Vitara Brezza has gained dual airbags and ABS as standard fitment across the board and it eliminated the existence of LDi (O) and VDi (O) variants.
The cosmetic changes accompanying the AMT addition are noticeable as well. The inclusion of chrome treatment on front grille and chrome boot garnish are welcoming to increase its sporty stance while the new interior black theme and black glossy alloy wheels have complemented the overall exterior tweaks.
The AMT is only retailed in the VDi and top-end ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ dual-tone trims. Prices for the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AMT begins at Rs. 8,54,000 for VDi AGS, Rs. 9,31,500 for ZDi AGS and Rs. 10,27,000 for ZDi+ AGS and goes all the way up to Rs. 10,49,000 for ZDi+ Ags dual-tone (all prices, ex-showroom New Delhi).
The five-speed AGS (Auto Gear Shift) is connected to the tried and tested 1.3-litre DDiS 200 four-cylinder diesel engine and it continues to generate a maximum power output of 90 PS at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque delivered at 1,750 rpm.
The subcompact SUV now complies with pedestrian safety ahead of regulations and it features ISOFIX child restraint system, high speed warning alert, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, front seat belt pre-tensioners and force limiters as standard.
With no dimensional changes, the updated Vitara Brezza gets two new colour options: Autumn Orange with Pearl Arctic White roof and new Autumn Orange along with other paint schemes. The spotted Vitara Brezza AMT at dealer yard indeed wore the Autumn Orange with Pearl Arctic White roof and the colour shade goes well with the new black alloy wheels.
