Third generation Kia Cerato draws inspiration from Stinger sports sedan; receives significant updates

Kia has revealed the sketches of the third generation Cerato sedan right ahead of its debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. The sedan appears with a completely redesigned look and it takes inspiration from the Kia Stoinger sports sedan. Thanks to the updates, the next generation Kia Cerato looks very stylish and sporty from every angle.

This sedan comes with a super stylish front fascia that sports sharp laid back headlamps with a projector lamp and quad LED units. The front grille comes with Kia’s signature butterfly design and chrome trims. The front bumper gets a large air intake with neatly positioned fog lamps at both ends of that. Also, there are twin large air dams with horizontal slats.

Despite being a small sedan, the sketches show the car in a coupeish appearance thanks to the long hood and a short overhang and back. Apart from that, the roofline is nicely curved and blends perfectly to the back of the car. Interestingly, the side profile doesn’t boast any conventional door handles. In that case, we can expect it to get touch pads with sensors. The blackened glass area features sleek chrome trims enhancing visual style further.

The sedan runs on sporty and large alloy wheels. At the back, there is a sculpted registration enclosure, sleek LED taillights and a crafted looking bumper as well. So far, thanks to the new design elements the new Cerato has become very appealing from every angle.

Not only exterior, the Hyundai owned South Koran auto major has also revealed next generation Cerato sedan’s interior as well. There is a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, analog and digital display consisting instrument cluster. Also, a dash top touchscreen infotainment system is there as well that looks like inspired from BMW models.

Apart from the above mentioned design element, the interior looks minimalist yet very stylish. Seats and upholstery get improved quality material. Interestingly, Kia is all set to enter Indian market in 2019 and the brand is likely to bring the Cerato sedan here as well.
