2018 Isuzu D-Max facelift model made its global debut last year and the India launch is expected to take place next year
2018 Isuzu D-Max facelift model has been spotted in India for the first time. The updated model made its global debut last year, but the company delayed the India launch. The test mule spotted is double cab variant and it has been camouflaged heavily to hide the details.
The D-Max V-Cross facelift model gets a new grille, which extends towards revised projector headlamps with integrated DRLs. The front bumper also gets a new design along with some sheet metal changes for the hood. The fog lamp housing is completely new and the company will add skid plates at front.
The side continues to be same from current model except for new alloy wheel design and rear gets a new bumper, which rounds of the exterior changes. The interior will be carried over from the current model and we are not expecting any major changes like the International model.
The D-Max V-Cross comes with lots of features like touchscreen infotainment system and it might get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Bluetooth, Aux-in, steering mounted control, cruise control, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, rear view camera, black leather seats, side steps and more.
The company has also focused on safety as D-Max V-Cross get dual airbag, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Isofix anchorage, Traction Control System (TCS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Isuzu D-Max range is powered by 2.5 L turbocharged diesel engine and the 5-speed manual gearbox is also available as standard.
But this engine in crew cab and single cab version produces 78 PS at 3,800 rpm and 176 Nm of torque at 1,800 – 2,400 rpm. This same engine on V-Cross model puts out 135 PS and 320 Nm. The four-wheel drive system is available only on the later. Isuzu is expected to launch the updated D-Max range in 2019.
