The all-new Hyundai Santro gets first aftermarket accessories, gets an all-black grille with big “SANTRO” lettering
The all-new Hyundai Santro was one of the most-awaited vehicles in the Indian market since it was announced. The hatchback has become extremely popular and has received more than 15,0000 bookings since Hyundai officially opened the bookings for the car. The high amount of bookings shows the popularity of the vehicle in the Indian market.
With the rising popularity, the aftermarket car shops have started stocking the accessories of the vehicle. The aftermarket accessories offered by the garage are an aftermarket grille and car carpet.
The vehicle gets an all-black grille with big “SANTRO” lettering on it. There is another colour combination with chrome background and black lettering. The aftermarket grilles are similar in shape when compared to the stock grille of the Santro but they do look different and would ensure that the vehicle remains highlighted on the road.
The other new accessories that is available for the all-new Santro is the interior carpet. The floor carpet is one of the first things that is changed by the car owners. The stock carpets are not very durable or premium in the mass segment cars. The aftermarket carpet available looks very premium with diamond stitching.
The all-new Santro is powered by a 1.1-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces a maximum of 69 PS of power and a peak torque of 99 Nm. The Santro uses the same platform that underpinned the discontinued i10 in the Indian market. The engine is also the same. However, Hyundai has made mandatory tweaks to the chassis and the engine.
The Santro gets 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. There is no diesel version available with the all-new Santro. The all-new Santro takes on the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the Tata Tiago in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs. 3,9 lakhs to Rs. 5.65 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi.
