Honda officially commenced booking for HR-V in Malaysia and they are introducing new model in RS trim, which comes with lots of sporty elements
Honda officially revealed HR-V facelift model in February this year. The HR-V is available in several Asian countries. The Japanese manufacturer officially commenced booking for HR-V in Malaysia and they are introducing new model in RS trim, which comes with lots of sporty elements to make HR-V look aggressive.
The chrome parts like front grille and door handles will be finished in black colour for sporty look. Honda has also given full LED headlamps along with updated bumper and black finish for fog lamp housing. The plastic cladding which runs across the body is now finished in new glossy black trim to make it look premium.
At the rear, the company has given full LED tail lamps along with an integrated spoiler. The HR-V rides on 18 inch wheels and alloy wheel design is different. Honda will also introduce a new passion red pearl colour for HR-V RS model. The interior changes are limited to all black theme and features remain same.
Honda has also given new touch screen infotainment system for HR-V, which comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with 4G LTE in-car Wi-Fi, rear entertainment system with Blu-Ray and streaming video functions, CabinTalk in-car PA system, CabinControl and the list goes on.
The Japanese manufacturer improved safety features on facelift model as HR-V comes with six airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Vehicle Stability Program (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HAS) and Honda Lane Watch Blind spot camera to alert driver but Malaysian spec model misses out on City Brake Active System.
Honda HR-V will be launched initially with 1.8 L i-VTEC engine producing 142 PS of power and 172 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to CVT automatic transmission and Japanese manufacturer is working on hybrid variant, which is expected to be launched soon after the launch of regular model by the end of this quarter.
