Aprilia Storm 125 is based on the Aprilia SR 125; gets vibrant colour and 12-inch wheels
Aprilia is eager to enhance its stake in the Indian two-wheeler market. The company has unveiled its much awaited SR 125 sporty scooter at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, but what’s more exciting is the all-new Aprilia Storm 125. This new sporty scoter comes based on the Aprilia SR 125, but carries distinctive design elements.
The Aprilia Storm 125 has been specially designed keeping the young buyers in the country in mind. It sports vibrant exterior colour options and sporty stance. Also, Aprilia will offer various accessories for this scooter that will make it much more appealing. The scooter gets sporty body decals as well and it runs on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped with wider and meaty rubbers.
The scooter gets twin barrel headlamp positioned at the centre of the front cowl, while the turn indicators are positioned at the handlebar. Beak like front cowl enhances its appeal further. A spacious footboard area along with well cushioned wide seats ensures a comfortable riding experience. The seat comes different looking compared to the Aprilia SR 125. At the back it gets a compact taillight and there is a black exhaust muzzle as well.
So far, Aprilia Storm 125 has been designed to grab attention of the buyers at the very first glance. It gets power from a 124.49 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that ids coupled with a CVT. This engine is well capable of churning out 9.52 hp of peak power at 7,250 rpm and 9.9 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 rpm.
The scooter gets a 6.5-litre fuel tank that ensures a decent range for it without refueling. For braking duty, it relies on a front disc brake and a rear drum unit. Suspension duty is done by 30 mm telescopic front forks and hydraulic shock absorber at back.
Aprilia SR 150 has already grabbed attention of many buyers in the country. Thanks to the addition of SR 125 and Storm 125, Aprilia will be able to post higher sales figure in the domestic market in near future.
