2017 Suzuki Hayate EP and Let’s come equipped with BS IV engine, wears updated body graphics

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd has launched the 2017 Hayate EP commuter motorcycle and Let’s scooter with updated engines and exciting new body graphics. The new Suzuki Hayate EP comes priced at Rs. 52,754 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), while the scooter is available from Rs. 47,272 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). With this update the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer claims that its entire range in India is now BS IV compliant.

The Suzuki Hayate EP sits in one of the bestselling and highly competitive segment of the domestic two-wheeler market, the 100 cc – 110 cc segment. The updated commuter motorcycle appears with same design, but the new body graphics adds zing to it. Apart from that, the bike also gets a maintenance free battery, tubeless tyres and a 5-step adjustable rear shock absorber enhancing the riding comfort further.

The 113 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled BS IV compliant engine in the bike comes with SEP technology. Mated to a 4-speed gearbox, the engine is capable of churning out 8.7 PS of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 9.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. It is available in three different colour options, which are – Pearl Mira Red, Metallic Oort Grey and Glass Sparkle Black.

Speaking about the Suzuki Let’s scooter, it is the brand’s answer to the most popular scooter of India, Honda Activa. The 2017 Suzuki Let’s gets a dual-tone colour scheme with a sticker update, enhancing the appeal of this model. It is available in a monotone colour priced at Rs. 47,272, while the dual-tone painted model comes priced at Rs. 48,272 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Colour options for the scooter include Matte Grey/Matte Black, Pearl Suzuki Blue No2/Matte Black, Pearl Mira Red/Matte Black and Pearl Mirage White. The updated Suzuki Let’s comes equipped with a 112.8 cc BS IV engine combined with SEP technology and capable of generating 8.56 PS of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 8.8 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm.
