Updated 2017 Nissan Sunny Launched in India; Prices Remain Same

2017 Nissan Sunny gets new exterior colour, chrome door handles and an all-black interior; powertrain continues to be 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel

Japanese automaker Nissan has launched the new Sunny sedan in the domestic market with several styling and feature updates. The pricing remains unchanged as the sedan is available with a starting price of Rs. 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). For the Indian market, Nissan Sunny was first introduced in 2011 and now with these updates, the auto manufacturer hopes to grab more attention of the customers.

The basic design of the sedan remains same, but little bit of enhancements have been introduced to increase the appeal of this upmarket looking car. It comes wearing an all-new ‘Sandstone Brown’ exterior colour and chrome finished door handles. This is the flagship sedan of the company and like the exterior the cabin has also received some updates.

The interior of 2017 Nissan Sunny sports al all-black theme that delivers a premium feel. The seat and upholstery materials now come with more upmarket quality. Nissan claims that the black fabric seats offer the occupants a comfortable experience along with class-leading space. Interestingly, the Sunny is one of the most loved cars of the company with 16 million customers globally.

Speaking about the launch of the updated 2017 Nissan Sunny sedan, Mr. Arun Malhotra, managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. said, these updates have been introduced after taking the customer feedback. He also says that the new features and styling at no extra cost will surely make the sedan more attractive to the customers.

Powertrain of the car remains unchanged as it gets a 1.5-litre HR15 petrol engine under the hood, while the diesel unit is a 1.5-litre k9k dci engine. For transmission duty, the car comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT is also on offer. The Sunny returns a fuel efficiency of 22.71 kmpl. On safety front, it gets several features like ABS, EBD, Brake Assist along with dual front and side airbags.
