Maruti Suzuki launched the all-new Dzire compact sedan in India last month and the car has earned positive response within days after arrival. With the completely revised premium appearance, stylish design and features this has become indomitable and the automaker has managed to strengthen its position in the segment further with this car. Now, as it seems the AMT variants of the new Dzire is selling more units compared to the manual variant.

Maruti is offering the 2017 Dzire compact sedan with a manual gearbox and AMT for both the petrol and diesel models. Interestingly, demands for the AMT variants are much higher compared to the manual transmission equipped models. Also, the mid level V trim and top-spec Z+ trims are selling in bigger numbers compared to other trim options.

This clearly shows how the Indian buyers are changing their preference towards dual-pedal transmission technologies. Also, AMT gearbox is known for fuel efficiency in comparison with the fully automatic gearbox. But, the convenience and comfort of dual-pedal technology is offered by the AMT gearbox and that too at an affordable pricing compared to fully automatic unit.

The demand of newly launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire compact sedan is so high that its waiting period has gone to three months and that could increase as well. Interestingly, the new Dzire offers AMT gearbox in all the trim options except the base LXi and Ldi trims.
