2017 Mahindra Scorpio Adventure Edition has been launched with exclusive cosmetic updates; will be available in limited numbers
Mahindra has re-launched the Scorpio Adventure Edition in India with some exclusive cosmetic upgrades. The special edition model comes priced from Rs. 13.10 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and it will be sold in limited numbers across the country. The Adventure Edition of the Mahindra SUV is available in both 4×2 variant and 4×4 variant, with the latter one priced at Rs. 14.20 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Compared to the regular Mahindra Scorpio, the Adventure Edition sports a host of additional styling elements. Based on the top-end S10 variant, the SUV comes featuring a White and Mist Silver dual-tone exterior paint scheme along with Adventure graphics painted across the side profile. Up front, the large headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, chrome embellishment at the radiator grille enhance its appeal. Also, it gets side indicator integrated ORVMs, gun-metal alloy wheels, smoked taillights.

The interior of the vehicle comes sporting a dual-tone Blue fabric and Black leather seat upholstery increasing the style. The multi-function steering wheel dons leather wrapping, while the gear shifter also gets leather treatment and the armrests come sporting Blue fabric. In terms of features, the cabin gets a 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
On the powertrain front, the Adventure Edition of the Mahindra Scorpio comes powered by 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine combined with the automaker’s Intelli-Hybrid technology. Transmission duty is done by a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine churns out 120 bhp of peak power at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of peak torque between 1,800 rpm and 2,800 rpm.

On the safety front, it gets dual front airbags and ABS. Mahindra first launched the Scorpio Adventure Edition in April last year. It was priced from Rs. 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which means the 2017 version is cheaper than the previous model. The Scorpio is one of the bestselling and very popular SUV from the brand and with the Adventure Edition rolled out, its appeal is expected to grow further.
