The dealerships are now awaiting the next lot of bikes in order to meet the demand

Kawasaki had launched the 2017 Ninja 1000 in India a few weeks back at a stunning price of Rs. 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The latest edition of the litre-class sports tourer managed to land on Indian soil at such an attractive price, all thanks to the SKD (Semi Knocked Down) route. Having said that, the 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 attracts lesser tax in comparison to the case if it would have come via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route.

As a result of this pricing, customers have been showing interest in the motorcycle and the first lot of 20 units has been sold out. The company has so far received a total of 55 bookings for this bike across India. Currently, the Kawasaki dealerships in India are waiting for more SKD units so that the orders can be met as soon as possible. These outlets are also maintaining the availability of a display bike as most of the buyers of the new Ninja 1000 request to see the bike in flesh before submitting the booking amount.
