2017 Honda CB Unicorn 160 has the power and torque outputs reduced; gets Auto Headlamp On (AHO) and sharper looking visor
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd has launched the 2017 CB Unicorn 160 with a new BS-IV emission compliant engine. Apart from the new updated engine, the motorcycle comes with little bit of cosmetic updates as well to make it more attractive.
The all-new 2017 Honda CB Unicorn 160 gets Auto Headlamp On (AHO) technology and a new sharp looking visor. Also, a new matte Blue paint scheme has been introduced on the model. The Red and Black painted new Unicorn comes with stickers enhancing the visual appeal. Dimensionally, the bike has become taller by 2 mm. The basic design and features remain the same.

Significant changes have been made to the powertrain as well. The 162.71 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine remains but it has been updated to BS-IV emission norm compliance. Interestingly, the power and torque outputs of the bike have been dropped due to the update. The BS-III compliant version kicks out 14.5 bhp of peak power and 14.61 Nm of peak torque, while the new BS-IV compliant CB Unicorn 160 kicks out 13.82 bhp of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 13.92 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.
The Honda CB Unicorn 160 continues to get the Combined Braking System (CBS), also known as the Combi Brake. This technology enables the rider to use both the front and rear brakes by pressing just a single lever. Apart from that, braking duty is done by a 240 mm front disc brake and a 130 mm rear disc brake.

For suspension duty, the 2017 Honda CB Unicorn 160 is equipped with telescopic front suspension and rear monoshock absorber. The official website shows the price at Rs. 73,481 for the standard version and Rs. 75,934 for the CBS version (ex-showroom, Delhi).
