All-new 2017 Hero Duet gets updated BS-IV compliant engine, AHO, chrome trim up front and sporty body graphics

Hero MotoCorp has launched the updated Duet 110 cc scooter in India priced from Rs. 47,830 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The 2017 Hero Duet comes powered by an updated BS-IV compliant engine, Automatic Headlamp On (AHO), new sporty and exciting body graphics and a new V shaped chrome trim at the front cowl enhancing the scooter’s visual appeal.

The overall design of the 2017 Hero Duet remains same as the previous model. Along with that, little bit of additional styling has added zing to it. Up front, the large headlamp is flanked by the turn indicator lights. The front cowl looks pretty stylish with the V shaped sleek and sharp chrome trim. The instrument cluster comes sporting analog and digital combo display and there is a side stand indicator as well. The digital display gets service remainder also.

The hero Duet offers generous leg room for the rider and the seat has been designed to deliver best possible comfort while riding the machine. The rear passenger too is offered comfort with the seat quality and the grab rail. The rear of the scooter looks curvy and it gets a wide taillight with integrated turn indicators. The side body panel of the scooter comes wearing new exciting and sporty body graphics enhancing its visual appeal.

No new colour options have been introduced to the scooter. Therefore it is available in same five colour options as the old model. Power source for the Hero Duet is the same 110.9 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine, which is available in the hero Maestro Edge as well. This engine is mated to a CVT and churns out 8 bhp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 8.7 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.

Braking duty in the Hero Duet is done by drum brakes, and for suspension duty, it is equipped with telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at front and unit swing with spring-loaded hydraulic damper at rear. The scooter is available in two different variants, with the VX being priced at Rs. 49,480 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
