Bajaj Auto has updated its popular commuter motorcycle Platina ComforTec. The most significant update in the motorcycle is the addition of LED Daytime Running Light (DRL). The new Bajaj Platina ComforTec has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 46,656 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Coming to other changes, the motorcycle also gets new rear view mirrors and the ones offer a better view of the world behind. The motorcycle now comes with a headlamp ON/OFF switch that was made absent in the previous version with effect of Automatic Headlamp ON (AHO) feature getting mandatory in India starting April 2017. In the new model, the switch has been given to toggle between the main headlamp and the DRL.
The instrument cluster in the new Platina also sees some revisions. The layout is now more appealing and is no more the usual twin dial type while showing analogue speedometer, fuel and odometer gauges. Mechanically, the Bajaj Platina ComforTec is untouched and continues to be powered by the same 102cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine that runs the outgoing model.
The commuter motorcycle also gains new graphic scheme and is made available in only two colour options: Ebony Black with silver graphics and Cocktail Wine with red graphics. It competes against the likes of best-selling Hero Splendor, TVS Star City and Honda Dream CD110. With the onset of festive season, two-wheeler manufacturers are busy updating their respective vehicles with new colours to lure the buyers. Expect more such launches and discount announcements in the coming days.
