Triumph is set to launch this new on-road sporty Tiger in the market soon, it has a place in India and should come though
Triumph worldwide is on a roll. The British manufacturer has launched motorcycles one after the other or refreshing them thoroughly. The new motorcycles in the cruiser and sports segment were witnessed and this time it’s the most famed segment motorcycle that the company has had been refreshed. The 2016 Triumph Tiger Sport was expected the day the brand announced that it updated the Speed Triple range. The engines are the same as before but since it has been re-hauled it’s now seen in the 2016 Triumph Tiger Sport. The motorcycle has been launched at the MCN show in London held every year.
The new 2016 Triumph Tiger Sport features same majorly revamped 1050cc inline-triple cylinder engine that came to the refreshed and re-hauled 2016 Triumph Speed Triple earlier this year. Power figures aren’t out yet but the manufacturer claims the new engine has better torque throughout the rev range and the BHP figure is going to be around 140 PS mark. The new 2016 Triumph Tiger Sport is more fuel efficient than the older engine by a whopping 32%. The exhaust system has also been retuned and re-calibrated to meet the upcoming stringent Euro 4 norms.
Electronic goodies on the bike include a host of new goodies required for new age on-road adventure sport motorcycles. Things such as new ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes (rain, road and sport), traction control, cruise control, ABS and a slipper clutch are included. This motorcycle is expected to be launched later in the UK soon. Power and torque figures along with other things will be updated as well. The 2016 Triumph Tiger Sport on the face of it doesn’t receive much cosmetic updates as the fairing, the headlights are quite similar with minor changes everywhere. India launch, if happens, will happen early 2017.
