Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched the all-new facelifted Etios Liva in India lately alongside bigger sedan twin Etios. The car was first revealed in Brazil, and it launched in India after a few months. The car comes with a new front fascia, which makes it much more attractive and appealing than the previous model. Also the rear fascia, and the interior comes sporting revised appearance. So far, the car looks much sportier in its new guise. While the interior has been designed to deliver the occupants a premium feel. The safety features of the car have been improved as well, which gives this car a much desired appeal.

The diesel variant on the other hand is powered by the same 1.4-litre CRDI engine under the hood, which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine kicks out 68PS of peak power at 3,800RPM and 170NM of peak torque in between 1,800RPM to 2,400RPM. The Japanese auto manufacturer toyed with the idea of an AMT, but later dropped the idea. The engine delivers an impressive 23.59kmpl of fuel economy.
The company also claims that, the NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) level in the 2016 Toyota Etios Liva hatchback comes improved than before. Also the clutch system has been improved as well, and it comes more responsive and swifter.
The fog lamp enclosures, air intake dons black inserts; which surely enhance the appeal of the car. While the sedan Toyota Liva dons chrome inserts at the front grille and the fog lamp enclosures, the hatchback comes sans any chrome element at the grile, the fog lamp enclosures get the chrome though. The round shaped fog lamps sit neatly at both sides of the front bumper. The hood comes with sharp creases running toward the nose section giving it a sculpted look.
So far, the entire car comes donning a sporty look, which was not present in the previous model. Dimensionally, the car measures 3,884mm in length, 1,695mm in width, 1,510mm in height, and 2,460 mm of wheelbase. It sports a ground clearance of 170 mm, which enables the car to easily take on the potholes and a little bit of rough road condition. The car also offers 251-litres of boot space, which makes decent room for luggage at the rear.
The car comes in seven different colour options, which are – Vermilion Red, Ultramarine Blue, Classic grey, Silver mica Metalic, Harmoney Biege, Celestial Black and White.
The all new 2016 Toyota Etios Liva comes with enhanced safety measures compared to the previous model. The car comes featuring dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, engine immobilizer, seat belt with pre-tensioner for the front occupants, driver seatbelt warning, door ajar warning, rear removable headrest for all three occupants, central locking.
The car also comes with ISOFIX child seat lock, as option though. The 2016 Toyota Etios Liva hatchback comes with reverse parking sensors, which enables the parking lot easier for the driver. Incidentally, the Indian government is about to make the reverse parking sensors mandatory for every car in India.
Being an entity in the most competed hatchback segment in Indian car market, the 2016 Toyota Etios Liva faces competition from the rivals like Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra etc.
