2016 Renault Duster Facelift AMT is the USP of the Next Gen Duster
Renault Duster has been the successful product for the company since date one. Competition already existed in the form of the dated Scorpio, which was no match for it at that time. New Scorpio has what it takes, meanwhile competition from Ford EcoSport and Hyundai Creta came in along with the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Renault had to reply and it was about time, the Duster got a facelift with a unique USP, which should keep the Duster going off the shelf.
The Duster is quite a favorite car in the market till now and the new 2016 Renault Duster Facelift AMT should make things better for the prospect buyers. It will have the Magnetti Marelli technology in the gearbox ,which is basically devoid of the physical clutch, which is operated by electronic signals and hydraulic system. Renault has been using this technology for quite some time and it finally makes it to the Indian spec Duster.
2016 Renault Duster Facelift AMT will have the same 1.5 K9k engine, which makes power in two states of tunes. One is the 85 PS and the other one is the 110 PS. Both tunes will be slightly raised by around 5 PS is what are reports that are doing the rounds. Duster AMT is likely to be badged as the Duster Easy-R. 2016 Renault Duster Facelift AMT will be a 6-speed unit unlike 5-speed on previous cars because it uses the 6-speed gearbox of the current 110 PS as its base.
Prices are said to be under one lakh rupees over the manual. 2016 Renault Duster Facelift AMT will be only available with the 110 PS tune is the news as of now. Wait for the launch either before Auto Expo or just month before it.
