2016 Mahindra Genio Facelift will get the new design to get rid of the age-old looks, it sees Quanto to get the same design language atleast for grille
Mahindra continues with their strategy of launching new and refreshed products in the market. After the Scorpio and XUV 500 along with the new TUV300, it is time the other products in the lineup get refreshed and keep the cash flowing. This time around it is the turn of the Xylo platform, which is ready to get massive changes as the vehicles on this platform also include commercial vehicles such as the Genio.
Today there are spy shots of the 2016 Mahindra Genio Facelift, which were spotted on testing, since a very long time. On the face of it, the 2016 Mahindra Genio Facelift is giving the more mature look, thanks to its completely redesigned front grille. The same design language will certainly apply to the other variants of Genio on this platform.
Quanto has not been successful in the market despite the fact that it was extraordinarily awesome 1.5 3-cylinder diesel engine and had abundance space in first two rows. Reason was the poor dynamics and lack luster styling. All of this is set to change as Mahindra is likely set to roll out heavily re-shaped and designed Quanto with Genio Facelift around the same time. These pictures show a heavily revised front-end with a new bonnet, bumper and fog light design along with a flashy and boxy grill.
Expect better dynamics, fuel efficiency and better styling over at the front and rear. Interior will get tweaks and possibly an AMT engine as well, which is seen on the TUV300. Mahindra seems to bet heavy on the volumes compact segment as it launched the TUV300 and the next is Quanto. As of now the sales were being derived thanks to pushing cars to fleet managers. Maybe this time, the public could reconsider the Quanto if done right.
