Kawasaki Ninja 1000 to get only new stickers and assist slipper clutch for 2016.
Kawasaki in India has been known for one thing and will be always remembered. Giving us sport/super bikes at a cost that is total worth every single penny you spend on them. The pricing despite, the low-dealer counts has made Kawasaki the number one choice of high-end motorcycles.
Lineage and technology has helped Kawasaki go to the next level everywhere in the world and same case has been in India. One of the motorcycles most loved is the Kawasaki Ninja 100. The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is about to get some changes for 2016.
The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is all set to get Kawasaki’s famous Assist slipper clutch throughout the world in early 2016. The assist slipper clutch has been seen right from Ninja 300 to bigger bikes such as the ZX-10R. Though some bikes in between the stable lack it, but it seems Kawasaki believes to give it to the right bike at the right time. Who knows new alterations of the current motorcycles, which don’t have assist slipper clutch may get it soon as well.
What assist slipper clutch does is help you in smooth downshifting that is only possible when you match the revs every single time you downshift. But you don’t need to do that with the slipper clutch. Once downshift abruptly without the slipper clutch, the rear wheel would lock and could unbalance the bike. Not with the assist slipper clutch anymore.
When the engine is operating at normal rpm the assist cam functions as a self-servo mechanism, pulling the clutch hub and operating plate together to compress the clutch plates. This allows the total clutch spring load to be reduced, resulting in a lighter clutch lever pull when operating the clutch. Kawasaki says the clutch lever effort is reduced by a whopping 30%. As we know after testing Kawasaki bikes, the clutch is already light this should make it a doddle to operate now. Everything else on the motorcycle remains pretty much the same.
The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is powered by 1043cc engine producing 140 PS and 111 Nm of torque from its engine in early in rev band providing easier to live experience in city or highway. Expect a mild price hike for this upgrade. Also wait for this model as it should hit our shores by late 2015.
