2016 GIIAS: Celerio Urban Concept Looks Like a Soft Roader Celerio

The Celerio Urban Concept is a mildly accessorized version of the regular model

Maruti Suzuki Celerio is a very popular car in the Indian automobile market. The car comes with simple and practical appearance. Suzuki has showcased a mildly accessorized version of the model at the ongoing 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The particular model is christened as the Suzuki Celerio Urban Concept. Though it bears the same silhouette of the regular model, the accessories give it a soft roader appearance.

The car gets several updates, which is similar to the Ciaz Urban Concept. At the front profile the radiator grille is identical with the regular model. The black and chrome contrast gels well. Air intake at the lower fascia receives chrome slats which gives the car a more stylish look. There are body co0loured scratch guards positioned above the fog lights.

At the side profile, the Celerio Urban Concept features black cladding, which gives the car a soft roader appearance. Apart from that the new alloy wheels, and roof mounted spoiler enhances the sporty charm. Moving toward rear profile the Celerio Urban Concept sharp roof spoiler and scratch guard at the rear bumper. Despite these, there is no visible change in the car.

Inside the cabin of the Suzuki Celerio Urban Concept, the car comes with identical look compared to the regular model. The black theme is justified with the sporty look of the car. The features include a large round dial and a small digital display consisting instrument cluster. No change in dimension means it offers the same spacious and comfortable journey experience like the regular model.

The Indonesia spec Suzuki Celerio is powered by a 1.0 litre three cylinder K10B petrol engine. The engine gets mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox and a CVT gearbox as option. The India spec Maruti Suzuki Celerio is powered by the same engine. But on transmission front the India spec model gets an AMT instead of CVT. The Suzuki Celerio Urban Concept is also powered by the same engine.
