2016 Ducati XDiavel was unveiled at 2015 EICMA; comes more comfortable for the riders with a range of ergonomic changes
Ducati showcased the 2016 XDiavel at the 2015 EICMA and now the bike is all geared up to launch in India on 15th September. The all new Ducati XDiavel comes more comfortable for the riders with a range of ergonomic changes. Also the new engine is very powerful, while the suspension also comes very efficient.
The 2016 Ducati XDiavel gets a new redesigned LED headlamp with full LED daytime running lights. It comes with multiple seat height options, which make the bike very much comfortable for the riders according to their convenience. The wide handlebar comes complemented by a fully digital instrument cluster. The radiator has been revised to direct the air flow in a better way, while the exhaust pipes are hidden behind the engine block without sporting a muzzle.
The LED taillights come sporting a vertical appearance, while the entire bike looks very curvy and muscular as well. Power source for the bike is a Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262cc engine dual spark liquid cooled engine, which churns out 156 bhp of peak power and 126 Nm of peak torque in between 5,000 – 12,000 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox does the transmission duty in the Ducati XDiavel.
The bike runs on 17 inch alloy wheels which are wrapped with 120/70 ZR17 tires up front and 240/45 ZR17s at the rear. On the suspension front the bike gets 50 mm USD front forks, while the rear comes with single shock absorber with a remote reservoir and adjustable preload and rebound function. The 2016 Ducati XDiavel is built on a trellis body frame, and it sports a kerb weight of 247 kgs.
While normal cruisers come with 40 degree lean angle, Ducati claims, the new XDiavel gets a 41 degree lean angle. Also it comes with four different riding modes and, which makes the riding experience fun. It comes equipped with Ducati Power Launch Ducati safety pack, which includes ABS, DTC, cruise control etc.
